Membership Information

The purposes of the Irish Setter Club of Georgia are:

  1. To encourage and promote the responsible breeding and care of purebred Irish  Setters and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. 
  2. To require members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by The American Kennel club as the only standard of excellence by which Irish Setters shall be judged.
  3. To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging good sportsmanship and responsible breeding practices as set forth in the Irish Setter Club of America’s Principles of Integrity.
  4. To conduct sanctioned and licensed conformation shows, field trials, and obedience trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

There are two classes of membership open to persons who are in good standing with The American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purposes of this club. A regular membership is offered for any individual over the age of 18.  A family membership is offered for a couple and their minor children 18 and under.
